This green smoothie bowl recipe was devised by lifestyle blogger Jemma Andrew-Adiamah (celeryandcupcakes.com) with the school run in mind: ‘I’ve included spinach and avocado for healthy fats and chia and cashew nuts for protein. Ginger boosts energy, and you’ve got at least three of your five a day in just one bowl.’

  1. Chop the kiwi, avocado and apple into chunks and blitz until smooth along with the spinach, chia seeds, cashew nuts, ice cubes, ginger and coconut water.
  2. Pour into a bowl and garnish with extra chia seeds, cashew nuts and chopped kiwi, arranging them in lines across the bowl.
