- Combine all the ingredients in a glass bottle and loosely screw the lid on – you could do this in advance if prepping for a party.
- Before serving, place the bottle in a large pan of water and bring to a simmer. Leave to infuse for 10 minutes, then carefully remove the bottle (use a tea towel for this as it will be hot) and pour into handled glasses.
- Garnish with star anise, if you like, and serve warm.
