This pretty pink cocktail was developed exclusively for Lidl by spirits expert Tristan Stephenson, designed to showcase the flavours of our Hortus gin liqueur: ‘The unique taste of rhubarb is the perfect match for fizz, and nowhere more so than with the fragrant, grape aromas of chilled Prosecco. Adding lemon and sugar is a simple trick that enhances the fruitiness of the drink.'

  1. Mix the gin and lemon juice together in a jar or jug and chill in the fridge until cold.
  2. For the syrup, heat the sugar and water together until dissolved and leave to cool.
  3. Divide the gin mixture between flutes and stir through 40ml sugar syrup. Top up with chilled Prosecco and garnish with a twist of rhubarb to serve.
