Preparation
- Peel the banana and chop into pieces.
- Destone the avocado, scoop out the flesh and mash with a fork.
- Add the banana pieces and continue to mash until smooth, or leave chunky if you're introducing your baby to more textures.
This weaning recipe is full of nutrients and good fats from the avocado, and can be given even more protein if you add a spoonful of Greek-style yoghurt. It can also be adapted to fit your own weaning schedule: leave chunky as your baby gets used to texture, or spread onto wholemeal toast if they have moved on to finger foods.From 4 months
