Banana cheesecake tart
We’re proud sponsors of Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, and here’s our very own version of one of their weekend recipes for you to try. This rich and fruity banana cheesecake tart is a tasty treat, which you could serve with a toffee sauce for an extra decadent finish. We’ve suggested ingredients to make this delicious dessert, which you can pick up in your local Lidl store.
- To give your base a nice crunch, combine the crushed digestives with the lemon zest for zing and the melted butter. Press into a 23cm lose bottom fluted tart case, and press up the sides as well. Bake for 8 minutes at 180°C, and then cool.
- For the filling, beat with an electric whisk the cream cheese for richness, sugar and eggs, along with 1 scraped out vanilla pod. Fold in 2 finely chopped bananas to add fruitiness.
- Spoon into the base. Bake at 160°C for approximately 30-35 minutes until just set, cool.
- Slice another 2 bananas on top, dust with the icing sugar and place under the grill until golden and caramelised .
- Serve, and enjoy!
