Easy fruit cake

When the festive season is in full swing, time is of the essence when it comes to your home-made creations. Luckily, this super simple Christmas cake recipe from our My Lidl community member, Kirsteen, takes just moments to make.
- Put fruit, sugar, butter and liquid to a pan and simmer slowly for 20 minutes, cool then add beaten egg, fold in flour.
- Pre-heat the oven to 170°C/150°C fan/gas mark 3, and line a small cake tin (15cm / 6in) with grease-proof paper. Pour in the cake mix.
- Bake in oven for at least 1 hour 30 minutes or till skewer comes out clean.
- Cool and enjoy.
