    This festive take on the classic amaretto sour, packed with seasonal clementine and fragrant cinnamon, is perfect for sipping by a twinkly tree.

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice then add the whisky, amaretto, sugar syrup, fresh citrus juices, a pinch of cinnamon and egg white. Shake vigorously for 1 minute.
  2. Fill two tumblers with ice and strain in the cocktail. Dust with cinnamon for warmth.
  3. Tip: How to make a simple sugar syrup

    Put 100g caster sugar in a pan with 50ml water. Heat over a gentle heat until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool. Makes enough for 6 tablespoons of syrup.
