Preparation

    There's no need to call a takeaway again when it's this easy to make your own delicious pizza - plus you can add your family's favourite toppings.

  1. To make the pizza dough, pour the water into the blender jug and add the sugar. Crumble over the yeast, then mix the ingredientsfor on speed setting 1 for 2 minutes at 37 °C.
  2. Next, add the flour, salt and olive oil. Mix the ingredients usingthe knead button for 2 minutes until they form a smooth dough - the dough shouldnot be too sticky when handled, but you can add a little more flour or water if necessary to reach the right consistency.
  3. Remove the dough from the blender jug, shape into a ball and placein a bowl covered with a tea towel. Leave to rise in a warm place forat least 60 minutes until doubled in size and thoroughly clean the blender jug.
  4. Meanwhile, make the tomato sauce for the topping. Add the passata, tomato purée, oregano and a pinch of sugar to the blender jug and mix well for 20 seconds on speed setting 4.
  5. Preheat the oven to 240°C/220°C fan/gas mark 9.Brush the baking tray with 1 tbsp olive oil.
  6. Give the risen pizza dough another vigorous kneading by hand and divide the dough into 2 portions, then roll out separately to form 2 pizza bases. Cover the bases in the tomato sauce and arrange the mozzarella over the top. Add your chosen toppings and finish by drizzling over the remaining olive oil. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Ideas for toppings

    Salami pizza: arrange 7 slices of salami on topof the tomato sauce.

    Funghi pizza: add a topping of 100g sliced buttonmushrooms to the tomato sauce.

    Spinaci pizza: cook 100-150 g frozen spinachaccording to the instructions on the packet, thenseason to taste with salt and pepper and spreadover the tomato sauce.

    Hawaii pizza: add a topping of 2-3 dicedpineapple slices and 2 chopped slices of cooked hamto the tomato sauce.

    Rainbow pizza: top the tomato sauce with stripsof red, yellow and green pepper.

    Cipolla pizza: peel 1-2 onions, slice into rings andarrange over the tomato sauce.

    Prosciutto pizza: top the tomato sauce with2-3 slices of diced ham.

    Depending on personal taste, you can, of course,include any or all of the above-mentioned ingredientsin any combination you like!
