Method
This Easter-inspired cocktail is nothing short of rich and delicious. Made using egg yolk as opposed to the usual white found in most egg-based cocktails, it adds body and a beautiful golden opacity. The addition of sherry and aromatic cinnamon create a flavour not dissimilar to a hot cross bun.
- Shake everything except the soda in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Strain the liquid out of the shaker, get rid of the ice, then shake again to aerate (known as a dry shake).
- Run a slice of lemon around the edge of a chilled highball glass and dip into a dish coated with a layer of cinnamon to coat the rim.
- Finally, pour the liquid in to a chilled highball glass and top up a little with soda water.
