  • For the cake:

    • 75   g
    • 170   g
    • 1   tsp

    • 1,5   tsp

  • For the sauce:

    • 150   ml
    • 150   g
    • 150   g
    • 1   tbsp

Preparation

  1. Melt the butter and sugar in a saucepan and pour into a well greased 20cm round springform tin. Then place the sliced pears on top.

  2. To make the cake – whisk butter and sugar, add eggs, vanilla for some sweetness and yoghurt for creaminess.

  3. Fold in the dry ingredients, then add the ginger for a bit of extra kick. The cinnamon will also give the dish some lovely warmth.

  4. Spoon the mix onto the pears and bake at 180c for approx. 45-50 mins until cooked. Cool until warm, then turn out.

  5. To make the sauce – boil the ingredients together for 5 mins until thickened into a sauce.

  6. Cut cake into portions. Serve with sauce and more yoghurt.
