1. Provider and scope of application

1.1 These terms of use regulate the use of the service Lidl Recipes. Lidl Great Britain Limited, Lidl House, 14 Kingston Road, Surbiton, KT5 9NU, (hereinafter referred to as "Lidl") operates and provides you a Recipes section (https://recipes.lidl.co.uk) at https://recipes.lidl.co.uk/ (hereafter referred to as “Lidl Recipes Website”, “Lidl Recipes” or “Recipes”) that is a part of its official website accessible here (https://recipes.lidl.co.uk).

1.2 Lidl Stiftung & Co. KG, Stiftsbergstraße 1, 74172 Neckarsulm, Germany, Registry Court Stuttgart, HRA 102314 offers you an easy registration process in a “My Lidl Account” within the Lidl Recipes (hereinafter referred to as the "My Lidl Account"). It offers you a simple one-time registration system called Single Sign-On service (hereinafter “SSO").

1.3 My Lidl Account is provided by Lidl Stiftung solely on the basis of Terms of Use that you can consult here (https://www.lidl.co.uk/c/terms-of-use-for-my-lidl-account/s10026027). The user may access the current version of the Terms of Use or download or print them out at any time on the Lidl Recipes here (https://recipes.lidl.co.uk/terms-of-use).

2. Registration

2.1 You do not need to be registered to My Lidl Account to view and use the publicly available information on the Lidl Recipes.

2.2 However, to use the Recipes’ functions fully (e.g., select favourite recipe(s), send their ingredients on the “Shopping List” in your Lidl Plus Application) you must accept this Terms of Use, log-in on the Lidl Recipes website, and be a registered customer in Lidl Plus Application. The log-in is only possible by clicking on recipes’ section within Lidl Plus Application as a registered Lidl Plus customer. A profile for Lidl Recipes is a part of My Lidl Account which is governed by the Terms of Use for My Lidl Account (https://www.lidl.co.uk/c/terms-of-use-for-my-lidl-account/s10026027).

2.3 When using the Recipes in conjunction with My Lidl Account, you make a binding offer to register in My Lidl Account. For registering you can click on the “My Account” icon on the Lidl Recipes Website, click on “Register”, and enter all the required information. You finish the registration process by clicking on the "done” button or the "register and create user account" button.

2.4 If you have already registered before, you can sign in by clicking on “My Account” icon on the Lidl Recipes Website and choosing “Sign In” option.

3. Services

3.1 Lidl Recipes Website offers you a variety of different services which are presented and made available on it. These include the following or similar services, but it is not limited to:

  • Recipe search function,
  • Calculate portions,
  • Print a recipe,
  • Share a recipe on social media,
  • See step-by-step YouTube Videos of selected recipe,
  • Information over chefs,
  • Display of promotions tag for discounted ingredient,
  • Recommendations.

3.2 Registered users can also use the following or similar services, but it is not limited to:

  • Selection and storage of your favourite recipe(s) by clicking on the heart icon on the recipe,
  • Send ingredients from Recipes to the “Shopping List” within the Lidl Plus Application by clicking on the “Add selected ingredients to the list” Tab.

4. Grant of rights

4.1 For the term of this agreement, the user shall be granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to use the Recipes solely for purposes of its intended use in accordance with these Terms of Use. The user may not alter, adapt, translate, or in any way edit or process the Recipes or integrate it with any other software. Commercial use of the recipes is prohibited.

4.2 The user hereby grants Lidl the right worldwide and in perpetuity to adapt the suggestions, ideas, recipes and other content posted by the user and to make these publicly available on the website, other services provided by Lidl or associated companies in a Lidl Group and on social media sites itself or have third parties do so, as well as to reproduce and distribute them in order to be able to provide the services set out in clause 3 to other users as well.

4.3 The user consents to Lidl making the content under clause 4.2 available to other users and to having other users download the user's posted recipes for private purposes, and to reproduce them without limitation and share them with friends and family for private use in the aforementioned scope free of charge.

4.4 The user warrants that the content it provides does not infringe any rights of third parties, in particular name, trademark, copyright, image, and data protection rights.

5. Obligations of the user

5.1 The user shall refrain from any activity that could impair the Recipes's operation or its underlying technical infrastructure

5.2 The user undertakes vis-à-vis Lidl not to upload any content, which by virtue of its substance, form or design or otherwise violates applicable law or good morals.

6. Data Protection

6.1 When using Lidl Recipes, we will at times collect and process various categories of your personal data, please check our Customer Privacy Notice (https://www.lidl.co.uk/c/customer-privacy-notice/s10022952).

6.2 You can use Lidl Recipes anonymously or log into it with My Lidl Account. If you are not registered yet, you can do it on the Lidl Recipes Webpage. You can check Privacy Notice of My Lidl Account (https://www.lidl.co.uk/c/my-lidl-account-privacy-notice/s10026032).

6.3 You can mark your favourite recipes and send their ingredients to the Shopping List within the Lidl Plus App by clicking on the “Add selected ingredients to the list” Tab. 6.4 You can easily access the Lidl Recipes Website through your home section in the Lidl Plus Application. If you are already registered in the Lidl Recipes, you will be redirected as a logged-in user. For that, SSO will receive a token from Lidl Plus Application with your name, SSO user ID and redirecting URL, and will communicate it to Lidl Recipes.  

7. Liability

7.1 Lidl's liability is unlimited for loss or damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and for loss of life, bodily injury or injury to health.

7.2 The above limitations of liability apply mutatis mutandis for the benefit of Lidl's employees, subcontractors and agents.

7.3 Lidl's liability is otherwise excluded.

7.4 The content on the Recipes is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely

8. Term and termination

8.1 My Lidl Account can be terminated anytime and by terms accessible here (https://www.lidl.co.uk/c/terms-of-use-for-my-lidl-account/s10026027).

8.2 After terminating the My Lidl Account, you will still be able to use the Lidl Recipes anonymously and see the public available content.

9. Breach of the Terms of Use

9.1 Users undertake to Lidl to use the Lidl Recipes solely for purposes that are not in breach of these Terms of Use or applicable law, and which do not violate the rights of third parties.

9.2 Lidl reserves the right to block a user's access to the Lidl Recipes if the user commits a not insignificant breach of these Terms of Use.

9.3 Termination shall not affect clause 4.2 and 4.3.

10. General provision

10.1 All legal dealings arising from My Lidl Account between users and Lidl shall be governed under the circumstance described in the My Lidl Terms and Conditions accessible here (https://www.lidl.co.uk/c/terms-of-use-for-my-lidl-account/s10026027).

10.2 The invalidity of individual provisions of these Terms of Use shall not affect the validity of the other provisions.

10.3 The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution, which customers can access here (http://www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Lidl is not obligated nor is it prepared to participate in any dispute resolution proceedings before any consumer conciliation body.
